National & International Festivals The dancing team is a member of CIOFF UK. CIOFF organise folf festivals worldwide. In 2004 a group of seven girls took part in the Salo Folk Festival, Finland. They were guests of the year and also put on a special performance for the British Ambassador. In July 2005 the girls represented Great Britain in Poland. They took part in many performances and street parades and were on live television. In addition Jennifer Lowther entered the Miss of the Festival Competition. Most visiting countries to the festival also took part in an International Holy Mass and a singing event.
The Irish Jig, performed in Brusy, Poland 2005. Displays and Booking Information Recent Performances The girls have performed in many displays over the years. Some of these have been local events like the Fish Quay Festival and the Wallsend Dance Festival. Others have been bigger events at Warkworth Castle, Wallington Hall, the Gateshead Flower Show, the Morpeth Gathering and Alnwick Gathering. We have also performed at Beamish museum and many Burns Night events. What Is Involved In A Display Displays are tailor made to suit individual requirements, they can be from 15 to 40 minutes long. We can perform either Highland or Clog, or a mixture of both. The Highland section is performed to live bagpipes and the clog section to a live accordian.
